Patra, an insurance industry operating partner running one of the sector’s largest production-grade agentic AI platforms, has introduced managed services designed to take over entire operational workflows rather than individual tasks.
The new offering marks a shift from the conventional outsourcing approach, under which internal teams still need to coordinate work handled task by task. Instead, a single trigger from the client now sets an entire workflow in motion, with related processes carried out in sequence, automated quality checks built into the platform, and a finished product delivered after review by Patra’s insurance specialists at key stages. Clients are only needed for critical approvals or escalations.
Patra has also become one of the first insurance distribution partners to hold errors and omissions coverage extending to its AI-delivered services, aimed at giving clients added confidence in agentic-led delivery.
The first workflow to launch under the managed services model is post-bind processing, covering document retrieval, indexing, policy checking, updates to agency management system data, policy delivery, and renewal certificate of insurance processing. Patra said this body of work, which typically takes many hours spread across several weeks even with outsourcing support, can now be completed within days, requiring only minutes of human review and decision-making. The company plans to extend the managed services model to further workflows in future.
Patra works exclusively with the insurance industry, handling tens of millions of transactions each year on behalf of some of the sector’s largest brokers, agencies, MGAs and wholesalers.
Pratap Sarker, CEO at Patra, said, “Our years of <a href="https://bitcomme.com/quarterly-results-are-due-oct-6-from-saratoga-investment-call-follows-oct-7/” title=”Quarterly results are due Oct. 6 from Saratoga Investment. Call follows Oct. 7.”>investment in agentic AI combined with in-depth workflow knowledge developed over decades of managing tens of thousands of processes have built the platform that makes this kind of workflow automation possible.
“We know that agencies are under pressure to do more with less, and they don’t need another tool for their teams to learn. Our managed services leapfrog the traditional outsourcing model by giving agencies a partner that owns the entire workflow with AI powering its velocity and precision. This unlocks savings and capacity for our clients at a scale that wasn’t achievable before.”
