New Delhi, July 3, 2026: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has declared the results of the CA Foundation Examination held in May 2026, with 18,124 candidates successfully qualifying for the next stage of the Chartered Accountancy programme. The overall pass percentage stood at 20.09%, reflecting the examination’s rigorous standards.
According to ICAI, a total of 90,217 candidates appeared for the examination, out of which 18,124 passed.

The examination witnessed exceptional performances by students from Maharashtra, with the top three ranks secured as follows:

ICAI informed that 1,06,144 candidates had registered for the May 2026 Foundation Examination, which was conducted across 609 examination centres in India and overseas.
Congratulating the successful candidates, CA. Prasanna Kumar D, President of ICAI, said that clearing the Foundation Examination marks the beginning of an exciting professional journey toward becoming a Chartered Accountant.
