Ocient and Shadow Nexus have partnered to make Shadow Nexus data available through the OcientAIQ platform for national security organisations.
Under the agreement, agencies will be able to ingest curated open-Nexus into OcientAIQ, where it can be searched and analysed alongside internal mission data. The setup is intended for special operations, defence, intelligence, law enforcement and federal civilian work
The partnership addresses a longstanding challenge in intelligence analysis: growing data volumes across open sources and operational systems. Many agencies have had to sample or discard information when existing systems cannot handle the scale.
Shadow Nexus datasets can be delivered on demand, through an API or in bulk. Once loaded into OcientAIQ, users can query commercial datasets and their own holdings in a single environment.
The platform supports cloud, on-premises, hybrid, tactical and air-gapped deployments. Governance features are designed to keep data under customer control.
A frequently asked questions section released with the announcement says query results can be traced back to originals that access controls are enforced within the platform, allowing customers to determine who can use the data and how
Shadow Nexus supplies hacked, breached and leaked data, along with foreign-adversary coverage, entity resolution and attribution intelligence, to intelligence and defence users. Ocient, through its national security unit, provides the OcientAIQ data platform for large-scale analytics and AI workloads.
The companies presented the partnership as a response to the growing role of open- with more fragmented records across more sources while facing pressure to make faster decisions
Ocient said its platform is designed to analyse complete datasets rather than samples. In materials accompanying the announcement, it described OcientAIQ as a unified data platform that combines ingestion, governance, analysis and AI functions.
That positioning matters because intelligence and law enforcement users often face restrictions on where data can be moved and who can access it. By keeping external and internal data in the same customer-controlled environment, the partnership aims to address those operational constraints.
“National-security analysts rarely have too little data; the challenge is connecting fragmented records quickly enough to support a decision,” said Vinny Troia, Founder and CEO of Shadow Nexus.
“Integrating Shadow Nexus data with OcientAIQ gives teams a controlled way to correlate hacked, breached, leaked and publicly available information with their own holdings, without moving the mission into a separate investigative environment,” Troia said.
Ocient’s national security business said the partnership broadens the range of outside data available on its platform. Company materials say eligible customers can work directly with either party to define mission, data and analytics requirements.
“Mission teams are managing more data from more sources than ever before, making complete, trusted analysis across everysident of Ocient National Security Solutions at Ocient
“Our partnership with Shadow Nexus reflects our commitment to expanding the high-value data our customers can put to work on OcientAIQ,” Hofmann said.
