Nintex unifies automation & AI in platform overhaul

Nintex has introduced a unified version of its Automation CE platform and launched Nintex Solutions, combining several automation tools in one environment.
The changes are intended to help organisations package, govern, deploy and scale automation work across departments instead of managing separate assets individually.
Nintex Solutions groups workflows, forms, applications, documents and integrations into a single governed container tied to a business outcome, shifting away from managing those elements as separate parts of an automation estate.
The broader platform update also brings orchestration and AI agents into the same user experience, with governance and lifecycle management built in rather than handled through separate administrative tools.
The move reflects a wider push by software suppliers to connect automation and AI tools more closely as customers seek to move beyond isolated projects. Businesses have often struggled to roll out automation more widely across large organisations because tools, deployment processes and oversight models are spread across different systems.
The revised platform is aimed at business process owners and IT teams that need to move projects from development to production with tighter control. Users will be able to work across workflow, forms, application orchestration, documents and AI features from one platform.
At the centre of that approach is application lifecycle management built into Nintex Solutions, including versioning, approvals and environment promotion through a structured deployment process.
The announcement comes as software vendors and enterprise buyers focus more on how AI-based tools fit into existing business process systems. A recurring question for customers has been whether AI agents sit outside established automation platforms or are managed within the same operational framework.
Nintex argues that bringing automation, orchestration and agentic AI together in one environment addresses that issue. The approach is designed to help teams in HR, operations, IT, customer experience and finance build and manage solutions while maintaining governance across the automation lifecycle.
A Forrester report cited by the company described businesses’ need to “tackle more complex work patterns to improve AI’s ROI.” The report stated: “Custom-built agents can deploy private models that are trained on an enterprise’s operational data and work patterns and provide long-running process and case management support, helping solve the AI ROI problem.”
That context matters because many companies experimenting with AI have found it difficult to connect those tools to underlying business workflows in a controlled way. Packaging related process assets into a single unit could make it easier to standardise how projects are approved, deployed and updated across teams.
Nintex did not provide customer numbers for the new offering, but said its broader user base includes thousands of public and private sector organisations. The company has historically focused on process management, workflow automation and low-code software for business users and IT teams.
Suvrat Joshi, Senior Vice President of Product and Design at Nintex, said the launch is intended to give organisations a simpler way to bring workflows, apps and AI tools together into solutions that solve real business problems.
He added: “With Nintex Solutions and our unified platform experience, customers can build, govern, and deploy complete automation solutions with consistency and control, making it easier to scale agentic business orchestration across the enterprise.”
