Nigerian Logistics Startup ShipAfrica Sells 55% Stake To US-Based Pigee
ShipAfrica, a Nigerian logistics startup, has agreed to sell a controlling 55% stake to US-based logistics-tech company Pigee in a deal that will give the buyer its first significant foothold in West Africa.
Founded in 2022 by Walter Isoko, ShipAfrica is based in Nigeria and provides a logistics platform for individuals, merchants, and third-party logistics companies, aggregating shipping options and supporting packaging, delivery, tracking, and fulfilment.
The acquisition will take place in three stages over 18 months through a combination of cash and equity, with the deal value undisclosed.
ShipAfrica will retain its name, management, and team of more than 10 employees, while Isoko will remain CEO. The startup processed more than NGN 7 B (USD 5.3 M) in shipments in 2025. Pigee plans to integrate its technology and distribution infrastructure to support ShipAfrica’s expansion across Africa.
