Nigeria’s federal government is offering technology startups as much as $350,000 each through a new accelerator that will run for 12 weeks and admit 12 companies. The iDICE Startup Bridge Growth Lab sits within the Investment in Digital and Creative Enterprises programme and is being implemented by the Bank of Industry, which is running the initiative on the government’s behalf.
The money arrives in two stages. Companies accepted into the cohort receive an initial $100,000, or its naira equivalent, in return for a 7.5 per cent equity stake. Those that meet growth conditions set by the programme become eligible for follow-on investment of up to $250,000.
Applicants must have built a minimum viable product and shown early market traction, while their companies must have been operating for no more than 12 months. Founders are required to reside in one of Nigeria’s six geopolitical zones, the same six zones from which the 12 selected startups will be drawn, and to be available to take part fully in the programme.
Growth Lab is the second rung of the iDICE structure. The programme’s Founders Lab works with entrepreneurs at the idea-development and validation stages, while Growth Lab picks up companies that have passed that point and are preparing to raise money from outside investors.
Participants receive business-growth support, investment-readiness training, access to industry experts, help with market expansion and introductions to business networks. The stated aim is to address the financing gap that companies face before institutional investors will engage with them.
Applications opened on July 15, 2026 and close on August 19, 2026. Organisers said selection would follow a merit-based assessment, and female founders have been encouraged to apply.
