ELSMERE, Ky. (WKRC) — Niagara Bottling has opened a $141 million beverage production and distribution facility in Northern Kentucky, bringing 60 full-time jobs to Kenton County.
The company’s new Elsmere operation sits on 52 acres at the C5 Airport East Logistics Center and includes more than 436,000 square feet of manufacturing space. Construction began in early 2025.
The project was first announced in September 2024 with a planned investment of about $130 million. The final investment exceeded that figure by more than $11 million, according to the governor’s office.
Niagara Bottling produces private-label and branded drinks, including bottled, sparkling and flavored water, sports drinks, teas, coffee and protein beverages. The California-based company was founded in 1963 and operates facilities nationwide.
“At Niagara, we invest with the long-term in mind, and this new facility reflects our confidence in Northern Kentucky and its future,” Executive Vice President Brian Hess said in a media release. “This investment builds on our pride in American manufacturing and our commitment to creating meaningful career opportunities.”
State and local officials supported development of the site, including $669,000 from a Kenton County site-development fund for power transmission lines. The Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority also approved potential performance-based tax incentives tied to the company’s investment and job targets.
Elsmere Mayor Marty Lenhof said the company’s first Kentucky plant brings jobs, investment and new opportunities to the city.
