Follow the Money: Nearly $4.5B in Web3, “Venture Push Into AI,” and eToro’s Expansion in the US

Between August 8 and 15, 2026, Incrypted’s editorial team recorded 10 investment deals, eight of which totaled $4.48 billion. These included venture funding for liquidity providers, traditional venture fundraising, M&A, and more. We break it all down in our weekly digest.
Classic Venture Capital
During the period in question, seven projects received funding. In particular:
- $3.55 billion — Accel. The venture firm raised capital across four new funds focused on early-stage investments, from seed to Series B, in the US, Europe, Israel, and India. The main focus is on companies developing artificial intelligence and other technologies amid a new tech cycle.
- $365 million — Team8. The venture firm announced investments into its third Team8 Capital fund and an additional investment vehicle. The capital will be directed toward building infrastructure for enterprise AI, including security solutions for autonomous AI agents.
- $200 million — K2 Global Crypto Fund. Ozi Amanat’s venture fund disclosed capital commitments to invest in companies developing AI, robotics, semiconductors, compute infrastructure, and national security technologies. Companies in K2 Global’s portfolio include Neuralink, xAI, SpaceX, Shield AI, Tenstorrent, and Agility Robotics.
- $118 million — Mirae Asset Global Investments Crypto Fund. The venture arm of Mirae Asset Financial Group held the first close of its third fund, focused on investing in Indian companies in the early scaling stage. With a target size of $188 million, the fund will focus on technology platforms, AI and software, deeptech, advanced manufacturing, and the consumer sector.
- $8.5 million — River Markets. The company raised seed funding led by Haun Ventures, with participation from Y Combinator, Coinbase Ventures, and institutional investors. The capital will be used to develop a platform for professional and institutional traders that aggregates trading across multiple prediction markets.
- $7.5 million — Entravel. The travel tech company received investment with participation from Ethereal Ventures, Finality Capital, and other investors. The funds will be used to expand supplier credit lines, increase booking volumes, and scale its white-label model in the traditional travel sector.
- $1 million — Memebook. The Solana-based social app raised seed funding from TOF Ventures. The platform lets users sign in via a Solana wallet without providing personal data, and publish photo, video, and text content.
Several more projects raised funding but did not disclose the amount invested.
Digital Prime Technologies received a strategic investment from Galaxy Digital to accelerate the development of Tokenet, a platform focused on institutional digital asset lending. Galaxy was already one of the platform’s early participants, and Digital Prime Technologies will use the capital raised to scale Tokenet and expand its institutional client base.
Tokenized asset platform Ondo Finance closed a strategic funding round with onchain lending protocol Saturn. The partnership предусматриє the integration of Ondo’s tokenized assets, including STRCon shares, into Saturn’s structured credit products, starting with the sUSDat digital credit product.
Token Sales
This week, the Kiichain protocol’s ICO took place on Sonar Launchpad. The team managed to raise the planned $1 million, while the campaign itself ended with almost 2x oversubscription. Meanwhile, several IDO rounds were held on lesser-known launchpads, raising nearly $1 million in total.

Corporate Placements and Deals

Mergers and Acquisitions
Between August 8 and August 15, one M&A deal was recorded in the market.
Trading and investment platform eToro Group agreed to acquire TradeZero, a U.S. online broker for active traders, in a deal valued at up to $231 million. The acquisition is expected to strengthen eToro’s presence in the U.S. market, expand the company’s trading and brokerage infrastructure, and enhance its product capabilities by providing access to the Canadian market.
