The Victoria and Tasmania operation of Moore Australia has welcomed a new director to its corporate and international tax team.
Moore Australia has welcomed its latest director of tax advisory, Dmitri Filippov (pictured), to its Melbourne office.
Filippov commenced in his new role on 9 September 2026.
With over 20 years of experience advising multinational and publicly listed clients in Australia and New Zealand, Filippov has worked in the agriculture, infrastructure, technology, consumer goods, manufacturing and financial services sectors.
He has a particular focus on clients in the trans-Tasman region, helping them navigate domestic and international tax matters.
Filippov joined Moore Australia after concluding his over eight year service at Deloitte as director of corporate tax in Melbourne, and he previously served at Ernst Young in numerous roles since 2006, most recently as senior tax manager in Brisbane.
During his time at the two Big Four firms, Filippov secured and managed significant merger and acquisition deals, carried out global tax compliance programs, and took part in advisory engagements for domestic and international groups.
“I have spent my career helping businesses make sense of tax across borders, and that work is only becoming more important,” Filippov said.
“Moore Australia gives me the platform to work closely with clients while drawing on a genuinely global network. I am looking forward to helping the team build something that clients value for years to come,” he added.
Filippov completed a Bachelor of Business Studies in Accounting from Massey University in 1999 and a Bachelor of Applied Mathematics and Applied Economics from Tver State University in 1992, and is a chartered accountant and chartered tax adviser.
He began his career at the Inland Revenue Department of New Zealand before the turn of the millennium for nearly four years as an investigations officer.
