Lunos Launches Free Cash Flow Forecasting with Live Accounting Data and Customizable Scenarios
The product connects to QuickBooks, NetSuite or Xero, keeping accounting data synchronized, and lets teams share a live forecast.
Lunos, an AI-powered autonomous financial agent platform that automates accounts receivable and accounts payable workflows, has launched its new cash flow forecasting product.
The system is designed to give business owners, CFOs and finance teams a free forecasting tool that they can customize in minutes and adjust with ease. The product connects to QuickBooks, NetSuite or Xero, keeping accounting data synchronized, and lets teams share a live forecast.
“We are proud to give finance teams a live cash flow forecast product that connects directly to their accounting data, reflects how customers actually pay and can be updated in simple, everyday language,” said Duncan Barrigan, Founder and CEO of Lunos. “We’re making it free because every business should have an accessible way to understand its cash position and make decisions with current information.”
The launch addresses a recurring challenge for finance teams: forecasts need to change as the business changes, but keeping them useful can become a job in itself. Spreadsheets require upkeep, established tools can constrain how teams model specific events, and forecasts built using Claude or ChatGPT still need data connections, updates and a way for colleagues to access them. Those maintenance demands can leave leaders making hiring, spending and fundraising decisions against outdated assumptions.
With Lunos’ new cash flow forecasting, users can connect their accounting system or upload accounts receivable data, accounts payable data and a bank statement to generate a working forecast. They can then model changes through simple prompts such as “Salesforce renews in December,” “Acme churns at the end of Q3,” or “Model two engineers starting in October.”
- Build and update forecasts from accounting data. Connect an ERP like QuickBooks, NetSuite or Xero, keep data synchronized and refresh the forecast on request.
- Ask questions of your forecast. Speak to your forecast in an environment you can trust, not a vibe-coded static spot.
- Model business changes using layman’s terms. Adjust assumptions around hiring, renewals, customer departures and other events without rebuilding spreadsheet formulas.
- Forecast receipts using customer payment history. Estimate cash coming in based on how individual customers actually pay, using the same prediction engine as Lunos’ accounts receivable agent.
- Compare forecasts with actual results. View the previous month’s forecast alongside what happened.
- Collaborate on one live forecast. Give finance teams, executives and board members access to a shared view as data and assumptions change.
“Lunos cash flow forecast gives us a clear, reliable view of our cash position without the spreadsheet maintenance we were used to,” said Richard Atkins, Director of Accounting, Crisp (a Lunos customer). “The forecast is easy to update, reflects how our customers actually pay and gives our team confidence that we’re making decisions based on current information.”
