Lightview Capital has made a strategic growth investment in Thorn Run Partners, a national bipartisan government relations, policy, and strategic communications firm.
The partnership is intended to support Thorn Run Partners as it expands its service offerings, builds capabilities across additional policy verticals and geographic markets, and adds talent to its growing platform.
Founded in 2010 by Andrew Rosenberg and Chris Lamond, Thorn Run Partners has grown to serve <a href="https://bitcomme.com/ai-techx-adds-10-startups-growing-to-more-than-40-members-statewide-2/" title="AI TechX adds 10 startups, growing to more than 40 members statewide”>more than 300 clients. The firm has more than 60 professionals and offices in Washington, D.C., Portland, Oregon, and Los Angeles.
Alongside the Lightview investment, Thorn Run Partners plans to pursue complementary acquisitions and additional hires. The firm is targeting businesses and professionals that can broaden its existing capabilities and strengthen its position across the government affairs market.
Rosenberg and Lamond previously worked as congressional staffers for Senators Edward M. Kennedy and Fred Thompson, respectively, before founding Thorn Run Partners.
The company has built its platform around government relations, public policy, and strategic communications services and has been recognized by publications including Politico, The Hill, and Bloomberg among leading lobbying firms.
Lightview Capital said it was attracted to Thorn Run Partners because of the firm’s growth, client base, subject-matter expertise, and potential to build additional complementary offerings.
The investment will provide Thorn Run Partners with additional resources to expand its workforce, pursue acquisitions, and develop a broader platform for existing and prospective clients.
