Deputy Trinh Xuan An said double-digit growth must go hand in hand with businesses’ ability to build up resources and expand, as well as improvements in people’s lives.
“Behind the growth figures, people want to know how much they can save after covering their living expenses. Businesses, meanwhile, want to know what resources they will have left after paying interest to invest in technology and productivity and expand their operations,” said An.
“This makes it necessary to identify the bottlenecks preventing the benefits of economic growth from reaching individual households and businesses,” he added.
Deputy Le Huu Tri <a href="https://bitcomme.com/acadian-timber-q3-earnings-call-highlights/” title=”Acadian Timber Q3 Earnings Call Highlights”>called for a clear assessment of which drivers are actually driving growth, which remain weak, and what policies are needed to unlock their potential.
“We need to make a decisive shift from growth driven by scale to growth based on productivity, technology, and domestic value added. Specific measures are needed to strengthen the capacity of domestic businesses, develop supporting industries, raise the level of local content to an appropriate level, promote technology transfer, and improve the quality of the workforce,” said Tri.
