Salesforce and KL University have strengthened their collaboration to help prepare students for emerging careers in data, analytics and artificial intelligence, creating a stronger connection between classroom learning and workplace requirements.
As part of the initiative, students will gain access to practical learning opportunities through a Tableau Lab, enabling them to work with data and explore AI-powered analytics in real-world contexts. Graduates will also have opportunities to engage with employers across the Salesforce ecosystem through industry interactions and career opportunities, helping build a stronger bridge between academic learning and professional environments.
Romil Agarwal, VP, Sales, Salesforce India, said, “As AI becomes increasingly embedded in how organisations work with data and make decisions, data fluency is becoming a foundational skill for the future workforce. Students will need to go beyond interpreting dashboards to understand how to explore data, apply context and turn trusted insights into action. Through our collaboration with KL University, we are bringing AI-first analytics closer to the academic experience, giving students practical exposure to how data and AI come together to solve business problems and helping build the skills needed for an increasingly agentic economy.”
Dr. G Pardha Saradhi Varma, Vice Chancellor, KL University, said the collaboration would help students connect academic foundations with evolving industry technologies and skills. He added that the Tableau Lab would provide opportunities to strengthen analytical and problem-solving capabilities while faculty enablement and support for research and innovation would help deepen these capabilities across the university.
The collaboration forms part of Salesforce’s broader efforts to strengthen India’s AI talent ecosystem. In June 2026, Salesforce announced a commitment to equip one million learners across India with AI-focused skills by 2030 through initiatives involving academic institutions, government agencies and industry partners.
Through initiatives such as the Tableau Lab, Salesforce and academia are expanding access to industry-relevant learning, hands-on technology exposure and skills aimed at preparing students for an increasingly AI-driven and agentic economy.
