The multinational industrial electronics company Inission has reported that its subsidiary Inission Power Finland suffered a computer intrusion detected on June 22 and later confirmed as a ransomware attack.
The company claims it isolated and restored the affected server environment that same day without significant impact on operations, but the incident compromises personal data of current and former employees, shareholders, and individuals linked to the board of directors.
Among the leaked information could be personal identification numbers, banking and salary details, health information, and shareholdings.
The company restored the servers on June 22 but part of the database appeared online
Inission has specified that the affected environment was isolated and restored on June 22, a response that allowed business to continue without significant alterations to daily operations.
Nevertheless, the scope of the attack goes beyond technical disruption. The company admits that part of the affected databases have already been located online and does not rule out that more information has reached third parties or has been published.
This scenario aligns with the breaches reported in 2025, where complex attacks and human errors accounted for a significant portion of the incidents recorded in Spain.
Exposed data includes banking, health, and shareholding information
The list of compromised data includes personal identifiers, banking and salary information, health data, and details about shareholdings, meaning the leak affects different profiles within the Finnish subsidiary’s environment.
It does not only include current employees. Former employees, shareholders, and individuals related to the board of directors are also included.
In addition to potential financial harm, the exposure of identifiers and financial data increases the risk of fraudulent use, as already occurred in a leak with a risk of impersonation.
The company has acknowledged that it cannot rule out that more information has been disseminated to third parties or published after the intrusion detected on June 22.
