On the 10th, a video titled “Morning Call is a must, and the first ever military discipline revealed by former flight attendant Ryu Seo-eun” was posted on the YouTube channel “My Love Ryu Seo.” In the video, Sung Hae-eun from Korean Air and Ryu Seo-seo from Asiana Airlines appeared to talk about the organizational culture at the time when they were working as flight attendants.
The two brought up the hierarchy between seniors and juniors that existed in the crew organization in the past.
Sung Hae-eun, a former Korean Air flight attendant, said, “I heard that the hierarchy order disappeared a lot in our time,” adding, “In the past, junior flight attendants not only took care of seniors’ morning calls but also washed seniors’ stockings.”
Ryu Seo-seo, a former Asiana Airlines member, sympathized with this and said, “I had to call you because the local time was all different. “Senior, who’s in the group?” Are you up. What time is it?’ I said. But as it was gradually disappearing, the managers asked me not to give a wake-up call, and it was gradually disappearing,” he said.
When Jeon Jin asked, “What if I don’t make a morning call?” Ryu Seo-seo said, “Then I’m in big trouble. How is the spirit?”
In addition, according to Sung Hae-eun, there was a culture in Korean Air that called female senior flight attendants “sister” regardless of age. “Even if you are a senior who looks younger than me, you should be called an older sister,” he said, explaining that at the time, the name was decided according to the company’s senior and junior relationship rather than its actual age.
“Even if I was a younger brother, I was an older sister,” he said. “If there are people who don’t call me an older sister, they say, ‘Can’t you call me an older sister because I’m young?'” he said.
On the other hand, he said to the male flight attendant, “He’s a senior, not an older brother,” stressing that there were differences in the culture of naming according to gender.
Sung Hae-eun was loved a lot for appearing in TVing ‘Transfer Love 2’ and has been an influencer and YouTuber since the broadcast. He served as a Korean Air flight attendant from 2017 to 2022.
Ryu Seo-seo married Jin-jin back in 2020. He is known to have served as a flight attendant of Asiana Airlines for about 16 years.
