Hims & Hers Chief Accounting Officer Irene Becklund will leave the company on October 9 after more than seven years, prompting Chief Financial Officer Yemi Okupe to assume her responsibilities while the digital health company searches for a successor.
Becklund notified Hims & Hers of her resignation on July 13. The company said in a securities filing that her departure was unrelated to any disagreement over its accounting practices, financial statements, or disclosures.
After stepping down, Becklund will remain an advisor to Hims & Hers through July 10, 2027, supporting the transition to a permanent accounting chief.
Becklund joined Hims & Hers in 2019 as its first controller. She became principal accounting officer in November 2021 and Chief Accounting Officer in April 2025. During her tenure, she helped develop the company’s financial reporting and public-company infrastructure and supported its public listing, acquisitions, and international expansion.
The planned departure comes as Hims & Hers continues to grow while facing pressure on profitability. The company reported second-quarter revenue of $753.2 million, up 38% from a year earlier, and nearly 2.9 million subscribers. It also recorded a net loss of $86.3 million, compared with net income of $42.5 million during the same period last year.
Hims & Hers raised its full-year revenue forecast to between $3.1 billion and $3.3 billion following the quarter.
