Hannaford sign in Maine (WGME)
Hannaford Supermarkets has announced that its online services have been restored following a cybersecurity incident.
The company said on Tuesday that Hannaford’s website and mobile app are operational again and customers can shop online with Hannaford To Go and use their other digital services, including My Hannaford Rewards and their digital weekly flyer.

Hannaford’s parent company, Ahold Delhaize, said it took certain systems offline, including its brands’ websites and apps, as a precautionary measure after learning about suspicious activity in its IT infrastructure.
Hannaford’s online services were down for more than a week as a result.
Hannaford said it is offering all current My Hannaford Rewards customers $10 off their next purchase of $100 or more through October 28.
“We know how important everyday savings are to our customers, and we hope this offer is a small way to show our appreciation for their continued trust and support,” said Caitlin Cortelyou, a spokesperson for Hannaford. “We know these services are an important part of how our customers shop with us, and we understand the inconvenience of not having them available. We’re grateful for our customers’ patience and understanding and extend our sincere thanks to our associates for their dedication to serving customers while our teams worked to restore service.”

It is still unclear what information, if any, was accessed during the suspicious activity incident.
“Although our investigation is still ongoing, we have no evidence at this moment that suggests that any sensitive customer, associate or partner data was taken,” Cortelyou said.
The parent company also said it has filed a police report with Dutch police in the Netherlands, where it is based.
