Anton Groom, GE Aerospace Chief Data & AI Officer
GE Aerospace has appointed Anton Groom Chief Data & AI Officer. Before joining GE Aerospace, Groom served as Chief AI Officer at Merck, where he helped the company embrace the transformative potential of AI.
Earlier at Merck, he held the roles of Associate Vice President, Agentic & Generative AI and Head of Hyper<a href="https://bitcomme.com/workflow-automation-definition-process-benefits/” title=”Workflow Automation: Definition, Process & Benefits”>automation. Prior to Merck, he spent more than eight years at Walmart, most recently as Senior Director II of Digital Transformation, Enterprise Business Services.
Reflecting on the move, Groom expressed gratitude for his time at Merck, where he said he had the opportunity to work alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry. He highlighted the development and scaling of the GPTeal suite and said the team focused on acting responsibly to deliver business impact while improving outcomes for patients as generative AI emerged.
