The AI-powered NeuroDR software reportedly removes bone, soft tissue and veins from CTA scans and provides subsequent 3D MIP views and curved planar reformatted views of carotid and vertebral arteries.
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has granted 510(k) clearance for NeuroDR, an AI-enabled software that may offer improved visualization of head and neck arteries based on computed tomography angiography (CTA) scans.
After the removes bone, soft tissue and veins from CTA scans, the adjunctive AI software provides automated 3D maximum intensity projection (MIP) views, 3D volume renderings and curved planar reformatted images of internal carotid and vertebral arteries the developer of NeuroDR
Deep Reasoning AI also points out that NeuroDR has the capability of providing separate views of anterior and posterior circulation without overlapping anatomy.
“NeuroDR is Deep Reasoning AI’s first FDA-cleared product and a first step toward complete, patient-specific 3D anatomy from routine scans,” said Mike Beck, the president and CEO of Deep Reasoning AI.
