Russian e-commerce giant Ozon said Wednesday, Nov. 4, that a drone struck one of its warehouses in southern Russia, sparking a fire and forcing employees to evacuate, amid repeated attacks on logistics facilities across the country.
The strike hit an Ozon distribution center in Adygeysk, in Russia’s southern Republic of Adygea, where emergency services were dispatched to contain the blaze.

The company said in a statement that all employees had been evacuated and that preliminary information indicated no injuries.
The attack disrupted operations at the facility, with Ozon temporarily suspending deliveries from sellers, redirecting incoming shipments to other warehouses and warning customers that some orders could be canceled.
The company said goods stored at the affected center would be removed from its online listings, while orders would be fulfilled from other facilities wherever possible.
Kyiv has accused both companies’ distribution networks of facilitating the movement of military equipment and dual-use components, including electronics used in drone production.
The roof of an Ozon logistics center has partially collapsed following a drone attack, the Russian outlet Astra reported later.
“Damage to the roof of the Ozon logistics center in Adygeysk has been observed following a drone attack. This was determined by an Astra OSINT expert based on photos and videos provided by eyewitnesses,” the report said.

President Zelensky and Julia Klöckner discussed on Tuesday, Nov. 3, how Berlin could help protect Ukraine’s power grid from Russian missile and drone strikes amid increased attacks.
Earlier, Russia’s Defense Ministry listed the Republic of Adygea among the regions where air defense systems had intercepted drones overnight.
It claimed that air defenses intercepted and destroyed 709 Ukrainian drones overnight across the Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Kaluga, Tula, Ryazan, Oryol, Voronezh, Saratov, Samara, and Rostov regions, Krasnodar Krai, the Moscow region, the republics of Crimea and Adygea, and over the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea.
Adygea head Murat Kumpilov confirmed a fire at the Ozon logistics center in Adygeysk “as a result of a drone attack,” adding that there were no casualties.
This logistics center is one of Ozon’s major distribution hubs in southern Russia. The warehouse complex covers approximately 10,000 square meters and can accommodate more than 1,500 employees. Construction began in 2022, and the facility was officially opened in October 2023, when its final phase was launched.
Elsewhere in the region, debris from a drone damaged a gas pipeline and the windows of a private house. Drone debris was also reported near the village of Takhtamukay, Kumpilov said.
Ukraine has not commented on any involvement in the attack.
Ozon, Russia’s second-largest online marketplace after Wildberries, operates an extensive network of fulfillment centers, parcel lockers and collection points across the country, making it a major component of Russia’s domestic retail and distribution infrastructure.
In August, Ukrainian drones struck Ozon facilities across Russia, including a distribution center in Chapaevsk in the Samara region, where a fire forced the suspension of operations.
Other attacks were reported at facilities in Orenburg, Makhachkala in Dagestan, and Enem in Adygea. Some strikes caused fires, injuries and temporary closures.
The company also evacuated its Adygeysk warehouse during an August drone alert, although it reported no damage to the facility at that time.
