The rapid adoption of AI is creating another visibility challenge for enterprise security teams: understanding where AI traffic is operating across their networks and distinguishing legitimate activity from potential threats.
DrayTek is looking to address that challenge through a new collaboration with Enea, integrating the company’s application intelligence and threat detection technology into future high-performance cybersecurity platforms.
Enea’s Qosmos ixEngine will be integrated into DrayTek’s next-generation platforms to provide deeper application identification and network visibility. The technology analyzes network traffic to identify applications, services and protocols, including different types of AI traffic.
For organizations, that visibility is becoming increasingly important as AI applications proliferate alongside traditional cloud and enterprise services. At the same time, attackers are adopting AI to increase the speed and sophistication of cyberthreats, adding pressure on security teams to better understand network behavior.
“As AI accelerates both the volume and complexity of cyber threats, network visibility has never been more essential to effective cybersecurity,” said Osvaldo Aldao, CTO at Enea. “By integrating Enea’s content and application intelligence, DrayTek will be able to detect diverse AI traffic types, strengthen protection against evolving threats, and make faster, better-informed decisions.”
DrayTek also plans to deploy Enea’s Qosmos Threat Detection SDK in an upcoming cybersecurity platform. The additional technology is designed to identify malicious activity within network traffic and help organizations detect and respond to emerging threats.
The partnership brings Enea’s traffic intelligence capabilities into DrayTek’s broader portfolio of routers, firewalls, VPNs, switches, wireless access points and security services used across business and distributed network environments.
DrayTek CEO Alan Wen said the collaboration is intended to strengthen the company’s ability to deliver intelligent networking and cybersecurity capabilities as network environments and threats continue to evolve.
Enea provides telecom and cybersecurity software to more than 300 customers across over 100 countries, while DrayTek develops networking and cybersecurity products for businesses, service providers and other organizations worldwide.
