Dixie McCurley Named Intuit’s First Managing Partner in Residence
The new role is designed to bring the voice and perspective of accounting firms directly into Intuit’s strategy, innovation, products, and services, the company says.
Global financial technology company Intuit has named accounting industry veteran Dixie McCurley as its first managing partner in residence, a new role designed to bring the voice and perspective of accounting firms directly into Intuit’s strategy, innovation, products, and services.
McCurley joins Intuit from top 20 accounting firm Cherry Bekaert, where she built and scaled its national Client Advisory Services practice.
In addition to giving firms a stronger voice in how Intuit develops products and services for them and their clients, the role also creates a direct connection between accountants and the teams shaping Intuit’s financial technology platform.
As managing partner in residence, McCurley will bring a practitioner perspective into Intuit’s product development and strategy for Intuit Accountant Suite, QuickBooks, and Intuit Enterprise Suite. She will also work with firm leaders to help Intuit better understand how artificial intelligence, automation, and emerging technologies can support the evolution of CAS and the broader firm of the future.
“Great technology doesn’t transform a profession by itself; people do,” McCurley said in a statement. “My job is to understand the practitioner and the client, to see what’s possible with technology, and help connect those worlds in a way that changes behavior.”
Her work will focus on the following core priorities, according to Intuit:
- Listen first: Engage directly with accounting firms, profession leaders, professional organizations, and educators to understand the challenges and opportunities that matter most.
- Turn practitioner needs into products: Connect firms with Intuit’s product, engineering, and go-to-market teams so their needs directly influence what Intuit builds across Intuit Accountant Suite, Intuit Enterprise Suite, and Intuit QuickBooks.
- Define what’s next for CAS: Explore how AI, automation, and agentic workflows can change the way firms deliver CAS and support firm transformation.
- Turn technology into results. Work across Intuit to help firms use new capabilities in AI, automation, and advisory to improve how they operate and serve clients, including work connected to the evolving office of the CFO.
- Share what is learned. Contribute to research, writing, speaking, and conversations that help the profession understand where accounting is headed and take part in shaping what comes next.
“Bringing the voice of firms inside Intuit means their feedback has a direct line into product, strategy, and go-to-market decisions,” she said. “It means the tools we build for AI-driven advisory work, automation, and agentic workflows are shaped by people who actually run a firm, turning their input into visible action.”
Over the coming year, McCurley will work with firms of every size—from local practices to some of the largest firms in the profession. Her goal is to understand what they need from Intuit and bring that feedback directly into the company’s product roadmap and approach to the future of CAS.
“Accounting firms are navigating a rapidly changing landscape as AI and new technologies reshape how they work, and we believe their voice needs to be represented directly inside Intuit as we build what comes next,” Simon Williams, vice president, accountant and global partner programs at Intuit, said in a statement. “Dixie has lived the challenges our firm customers are navigating. Having a practitioner of her caliber translate between the realities of running a firm and the possibilities of technology will help us build alongside the profession, not simply for it.”
