A university committee is seeking comments as part of a scheduled administrative review of Vice President, Finance and Treasurer Rachel Satterfield. Reviews of senior administrators are routinely conducted as part of a five-year term and the results are compiled in a confidential report. This will be the first such review for Satterfield, who has served in her position since August 2021.
Members of the review committee are:
- Heather Hamby, Executive Vice Dean for Administration, School of Medicine
- Kathryn Hollister, Trustee
- Trina Jones, Jerome M. Culp Jr. Distinguished Professor of Law; Director, Center on Law, Race & Policy
- Mary Frances Luce, Dean and Robert A. Ingram Professor of Business Administration, Fuqua School of Business
- Emma Rasiel (Chair), Richard Y Li Professor of the Practice of Economics; Teaching Director, Duke Financial Economics Center
- Joanna Rojas, Executive Director, Internal Audit & Assurance Services
- Kim Taylor, Vice President and General Counsel
An important part of the review process involves gathering input from the university’s many constituents. Comments on performance and suggestions for the future are important to the committee’s work. The committee invites you to share your thoughts by email to duke-adminreview@duke.edu. Your message should include the nature of your interactions with Satterfield and her office so the review committee can understand the context of your comments as fully as possible.
Information submitted will be held in confidence but may be reported without attribution as part of the committee’s report that will be submitted to Executive Vice President Daniel Ennis at the conclusion of the review.
Kindly submit any comments by Thursday, August 20.
