Collective X Health has emerged from stealth with $3.2 million in oversubscribed pre-seed funding to build a B2B women’s health and performance intelligence platform grounded in research on female physiology. The round was co-led by Council Capital and Anthemis Female Innovators Lab Fund, with participation from SoGal Ventures, Emerson Collective, Muse Capital, and Seed Ventures. Founding customers include Human Powered Health and Altra Running, which are licensing Collective X’s women’s health intelligence through an API.
The company was co-founded by exercise physiologist and nutrition scientist Dr. Stacy Sims and CEO Lindsey Abramo. Collective X, or CX, is designed to turn peer-reviewed research and female-specific health data into a structured and auditable intelligence layer that other healthcare, wellness, wearable, and performance companies can incorporate into their products.
Collective X said its platform differs from general-purpose AI by citing the scientific sources behind its outputs. Customers can use the API either as a broader women’s health knowledge layer or to validate information already incorporated into their products.
The company is targeting a longstanding research gap in women’s health. Its launch materials note that women were not required to be included in NIH-funded clinical trials until 1993 and argue that AI systems trained on predominantly male research data can inherit those limitations. Collective X also cited a recent benchmark in which leading AI models failed 60% of questions related to women’s health.
Collective X’s scientific backbone is its Research Lead Collective, headed by Sims and comprising more than 20 globally recognized physicians and Ph.D. researchers. The company also launched a royalty grant program supported initially by a $200,000 commitment from human performance company Momentous to encourage additional research in women’s health.
CX has research and data partnerships with organizations including academic journals, Open Medicine Foundation, Wild.AI, and Eternal and said it has a pipeline of more than 50 prospective partners. The funding will be used to broaden its research coverage across life stages and health conditions, expand its intelligence platform, support enterprise demand, and facilitate new research.
Its leadership also includes Chief Brand Officer Angelina Morden. Advisors include Mel Strong of Next Ventures, Dorothy Kilroy of Oura, Anne Bradley of Honey Mirror, and Amber Taylor of Les Mills.
“Women have been systematically excluded from health research, with generational consequences. We pair vetted academic research with commercial scale, so companies, clinicians, and health and performance products can finally build on data designed for and from female bodies.”
Dr. Stacy Sims, Co-Founder And Chief Research Officer Of Collective X Health
“Women’s health isn’t a niche <a href="https://bitcomme.com/phillippi-estate-market-returns-for-17th-season/” title=”Phillippi Estate Market returns for 17th season”>market. It’s half the population, yet less than 9% of NIH funding reflects that. Every company claiming to serve women should be able to show the research behind that claim.”
Lindsey Abramo, Co-Founder And CEO Of Collective X Health
“Collective X’s edge isn’t a smarter model. It’s a smarter foundation underneath the model. Instead of every wearable and health platform trying to solve the same research problem on its own, CX gives the entire women’s health ecosystem an evidence layer to build on.”
