Cognitive Credit has secured a $40 million strategic growth investment led by Summit Partners, with continued participation from ETFS Capital, to accelerate global expansion and product development.
The company provides corporate credit data, analytics, and artificial intelligence tools designed for institutional credit investors. Its platform combines verified financial data, analytics, and domain-specific generative AI capabilities to support credit research workflows while keeping outputs auditable and traceable to their underlying sources.
Cognitive Credit said demand for specialized credit technology is increasing as corporate debt markets grow and analysts face a larger volume of fragmented public and private financial disclosures. The company cited OECD data showing nearly $60 trillion of corporate bonds and syndicated loans outstanding globally, with close to $14 trillion raised in 2025.
The Cognitive Credit platform provides analysts with access to structured credit models and primary reporting libraries covering more than 3,500 corporate bond and loan issuers across the United States, Europe, and emerging markets.
Its data can be accessed through the company’s web application, REST API, Excel add-in, and Claude connector, allowing credit teams to integrate Cognitive Credit’s data and analytics into existing research workflows and technology environments.
Cognitive Credit said its technology is currently used by more than 80% of the top 25 global asset managers by assets under management and by all of the top 10 global debt league table investment banks.
Over the past three years, the company has recorded 240% growth in active users and has more than doubled the number of global bond and loan issuers covered by its platform.
The new funding will support further commercial expansion in the U.S. and development of additional AI-enabled products.
Among the products nearing launch is DealConnect, which is designed to provide access to detailed credit models for private issuers whose financial information is distributed through secure data rooms.
Cognitive Credit is also developing agentic credit analysis capabilities that will apply AI on top of its verified data infrastructure to automate parts of fundamental credit research. The company plans to continue expanding issuer coverage into additional credit markets.
As part of the investment, Summit Partners Partner Chris Bon has joined Cognitive Credit’s board of directors.
