CaratLane has launched a dedicated e-commerce store for the Australian market as the Indian fine jewellery brand seeks to connect with shoppers across the country as part of its wider international retail expansion strategy.
“Indian consumers in Australia have long shown a strong desire for CaratLane designs, making this launch a natural progression for the brand,” said CaratLane’s managing director Saumen Bhaumik in a press release. “By introducing a localised platform, we’re removing cross-border friction to deliver a seamless shopping experience directly to their doorsteps, marking a major milestone in our global growth story. It’s part of our larger vision to make CaratLane the most loved jewellery brand amongst Indian women, and Australia plays a critical role in that journey.”
The new Australia e-commerce store is designed to offer a localised shopping experience and features curated collections of CaratLane’s diamond and gold jewellery. The brand offers both traditional styles such as mangalsutras and bangles as well as fusion and contemporary options such as watch charms, as well as segments for children and gifting.
CaratLane was one of India’s first online jewellery start-ups when it launched in 2008. Tata Group business Titan invested in CaratLane in 2016 and developed the brand into an omni-channel retailer. Today, CaratLane retails across India as well as in the US, UK, Canada, and Singapore, and now Australia, and counts 385 stores across India and the US.
