Cable One, Inc. (NYSE: CABO) has appointed Heather McCallion as chief operating officer, effective Aug. 24, 2026, adding a veteran broadband and telecommunications executive to oversee operations across the company’s 24-state footprint.
McCallion will lead Cable One’s operational strategy and execution, with responsibility for residential sales and marketing, customer experience, customer care, field operations and digital transformation across all regions. Her role will put several customer-facing and operational functions under common leadership as the broadband provider works to execute its long-term growth strategy.
The appointment gives McCallion oversight of areas that directly affect subscriber acquisition, service delivery and retention. Coordinating sales, customer care, field operations and digital systems is particularly important for broadband operators, where the customer experience depends on how effectively those functions work together from initial service activation through ongoing support.
McCallion brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience in the broadband and telecommunications industries, with a background spanning business transformation, market operations and customer experience.
She most recently served as chief experience officer at WideOpenWest, Inc., or WOW!, another broadband services provider. Before joining WOW!, McCallion held several executive positions at Breezeline, formerly Atlantic Broadband. Her roles there included vice president and general manager of the company’s Florida markets and vice president of new business and business transformation.
That combination of regional operating responsibility and companywide transformation experience aligns with the scope of her new position at Cable One. As COO, McCallion will be responsible not only for day-to-day operational execution but also for digital transformation initiatives intended to improve how the company serves customers across its markets.
“Cable One has built an outstanding company because of its talented associates and unwavering focus on customers,” McCallion said. “I’m excited to build on that momentum, continue improving the customer experience and ensure we’re delivering the reliable, high-quality service our customers count on every day.”
Cable One CEO Jim Holanda said McCallion’s industry experience will support the company’s efforts to strengthen its operations for customers, employees and shareholders.
“Cable One’s success has always been rooted in our people and our commitment to customers,” Holanda said. “Her extensive experience will help us continue building a stronger company for our customers, associates and shareholders.”
The leadership appointment comes as Cable One continues to focus on operational execution and customer experience across a geographically dispersed broadband business. The company serves approximately 1 million residential and business customers across 24 states, making consistency across sales, service, field operations and customer support an important part of managing the network at scale.
Cable One operates consumer-facing services through Sparklight, its primary broadband brand. Its infrastructure supports connectivity for residential and commercial customers, with the company positioning network reliability and customer service as central operating priorities.
For McCallion, the COO position brings responsibility for connecting those priorities across multiple parts of the organization. Field operations determine how effectively services are installed and maintained, while customer care and digital channels shape how subscribers interact with the company when purchasing, managing or troubleshooting service. Residential sales and marketing add another component to that operating structure by influencing customer acquisition and market performance.
Cable One said the appointment is part of its continued investment in experienced leadership as it works to execute its strategy, improve the customer experience and support future growth.
