A budget bookstore chain announced it is now available on an e-commerce platform to make its offerings more accessible to customers.
Booksale on Monday, August 3, said customers can now visit its Shopee page to purchase affordable titles without leaving their homes.
“Your next great read is just a click away!” the Facebook post read.
The page organizes titles into categories for easier browsing, including “Religion and Philosophy,” “Children Books,” “Investment and Business,” “History and Biographies,” “Action Crime Fiction,” “Self-Help,” “Fiction,” “Comic Books,” “Light Novels,” “Books – Science and Maths,” “Filipiniana” and “Parenting and Family.”
In September 2020, the bookstore chain announced that customers could purchase affordable books through its Facebook page and have them delivered
The initiative was launched at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when lockdowns were widespread and many businesses shifted to digital platforms.
Booksale later opened a Shopee store, although only select titles were initially available on the e-commerce platform.
The bookstore chain offers low-priced books from foreign publishers in the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom, among others.
It also distributes locally printed glossy magazines in both English and Filipino.
The bookstore chain has more than 91 stores across the Philippines.
