ARK Invest has partnered with Securitize (NYSE: SECZ) to tokenize the ARK Venture Fund (ARKVX), bringing one of the investment manager’s flagship strategies onto blockchain-based infrastructure. The initiative will allow eligible investors to access the fund through Securitize, with tokenized ARKVX initially available on Ethereum. The fund invests across private and public companies developing disruptive technologies, with portfolio holdings that include OpenAI, Anthropic, Stripe, and Databricks.
The announcement represents an expansion of the relationship between ARK Invest and Securitize, which began with ARK’s strategic investment in Securitize in October 2025.
The companies have been working to develop regulated infrastructure for tokenized investment products and broaden access to blockchain-based securities.
The ARK Venture Fund is an actively managed, closed-end interval fund designed to provide exposure to private and publicly traded companies operating in areas of disruptive innovation.
Its investment strategy focuses on long-term capital growth through businesses developing technologies that could significantly change established industries.
Securitize will provide the technology and regulated infrastructure supporting the fund’s tokenized issuance and investor experience.
Tokenization involves representing ownership interests in financial assets through digital tokens recorded on blockchain infrastructure.
The approach can support new methods of issuing, maintaining, and transferring ownership records while allowing asset managers to integrate established investment products with digital financial systems.
For ARK Invest, the initiative provides an opportunity to apply blockchain technology to its own investment products while maintaining its existing focus on disruptive innovation.
The firm’s investment strategy spans artificial intelligence, robotics, energy storage, multiomic sequencing, blockchain technology, and other emerging sectors.
Its ARK Venture Fund provides investors with exposure to a combination of private and public companies, although portfolio holdings may change over time.
The tokenized structure does not change the fund’s underlying investment strategy or eliminate the limitations associated with its interval fund structure.
ARKVX shares are not listed on a securities exchange, and no secondary market is expected to develop. Investors’ ability to redeem their investments remains subject to periodic repurchase offers and applicable restrictions.
Securitize reported approximately $5 billion in assets under management as of August 2026 and has established tokenization partnerships with financial institutions including BlackRock, Apollo, BNY, Hamilton Lane, KKR, and VanEck.
The launch expands Securitize’s relationships with major investment managers seeking to introduce blockchain-based infrastructure for established financial products.
