Arity, a subsidiary of The Allstate Corporation, has agreed to acquire substantially all of the assets of INRIX, a provider of transportation intelligence and mobility analytics. The transaction is expected to close in 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
Arity uses driving-behavior data and analytics to help insurers, brands, and public-sector organizations make decisions related to pricing, risk, marketing, and safety. The company said its platform draws on more than three trillion miles of driving data. INRIX adds intelligence about road networks, traffic, mobility patterns, and how people, vehicles, goods, and roads interact.
The combined platform is intended to connect behavioral driving insights with broader transportation-system context. Arity said that can help organizations understand not only how a vehicle or driver behaves, but also the surrounding road conditions, mobility flows, and infrastructure factors influencing risk and movement.
INRIX was founded in 2004 and has built transportation analytics using data from connected devices and vehicles, machine learning, and artificial intelligence. Its products are used across public and private sectors for traffic intelligence, planning, mobility analysis, and operational decision-making.
Arity was founded in 2016 and is headquartered in Chicago. Management sees the acquisition as a step toward a more comprehensive transportation-intelligence platform serving insurers, businesses moving goods, and public agencies planning infrastructure and safety initiatives. By combining the two data sets and analytics organizations, Arity expects to broaden its ability to help customers anticipate transportation changes and make decisions with greater context.
The announcement also reflects a broader effort to scale the core business while preserving the operating capabilities, customer relationships, and market expertise already in place. Management’s near-term focus is on execution of the transaction or growth plan described above, integration of the relevant teams and technology, and continued investment in the products and services that support existing customers. The next phase will focus on execution, continuity for customers and partners, and scaling the core platform described in the announcement.
“Transportation operates as one connected system, yet the intelligence used to understand it remains fragmented across industries and data sources.”
Gary Hallgren, President Of Arity
“For more than two decades, INRIX has helped customers make better transportation decisions through data, analytics, and transportation intelligence.”
