SBI CISO Recruitment 2026: Applications open for Chief Information Security Officer, CTC up to Rs 2.50 crore
SBI has invited applications for the Chief Information Security Officer post with an annual CTC of up to ₹2.50 crore. Eligible candidates can apply online until September 24, 2026.
The State Bank of India (SBI) has started the application process for the post of Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Eligible candidates can apply online through the official SBI website, sbi.co.in.
Candidates can submit their applications for this Specialist Officer post until September 24, 2026. The selected candidate can receive an annual CTC of up to ₹2.50 crore.
SBI CISO Recruitment 2026: Eligibility criteria
Candidates applying for the post must have any of the following qualifications:
B.E. or B.Tech in Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Cyber Security or an equivalent subject, with at least 50 per cent marks.
M.Tech or M.Sc in Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Electronics, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Cyber Security or an equivalent subject.
The degree must be from a university, institution or board recognised by the Government of India or approved by the relevant government regulatory authorities.
The maximum age of the candidate should be 57 years as on August 31, 2026.
Applicants should also have 15 to 20 years of experience after completing their qualification in Information Technology or Information Security. The experience should be in banks, large companies, PSUs, financial institutions, financial services organisations or financial and technology consulting firms.
Out of this experience, at least five years should be in Information Security, Cyber Security or Cyber Defence in banks or financial institutions at the senior management level.
SBI CISO Recruitment 2026: Selection process
Candidates will be selected through shortlisting and an interview.
Shortlisted candidates will have to give a 10-minute presentation during the interview. The presentation should be related to the job profile, projects handled or important achievements.
The interview will carry a total of 100 marks.
The final merit list will be prepared separately for each category. Candidates will be ranked based only on their interview marks, in descending order.
If two or more candidates receive the same marks at the cut-off level, the older candidate will be placed higher in the merit list.
SBI CISO Recruitment 2026: Application fee
- The application fee for General, EWS and OBC candidates is ₹750.
- Candidates belonging to SC, ST and PwBD categories do not have to pay any application or intimation fee.
- The payment can be made online using a debit card, credit card, internet banking or other available options.
After the payment is successfully completed, an e-receipt and application form showing the submission date will be generated. Candidates should download, print and keep these documents safely for future use.
