New Update
Jaipur-based healthtech startup Aignosis has raised Rs 4 crore in a seed funding round led by Antler and Nikhil Kamath, with participation from investors including Varun Dua and IIMA Ventures.
The startup plans to use the funding to expand its AI-assisted autism and developmental screening platform across India, as it moves from developing and validating its technology towards wider deployment across public and private healthcare networks.
Founded by Raksheet Jain and Divyansh Mangal, Aignosis had previously raised its first funding round in 2024 from investors including Rajneesh Bhandari and Amit Jain.
“This funding marks a shift for Aignosis from building and validating the technology to taking it into the healthcare system at scale,” said Raksheet Jain, co-founder of Aignosis.
“Our focus now is to make autism screening more accessible, strengthen the referral pathway around it, and build a model that can work across both public and private healthcare settings,” he said.
How the screening system works
Aignosis has developed a screening system intended to help identify children who may require further clinical assessment for autism and other developmental concerns.
The system uses a standard laptop and webcam and is designed for children aged between 16 months and nine years.
During a short video involving nine stimulus modules, computer vision technology analyses behavioural signals including gaze, response to name and reactions to facial expressions.
The system then generates a risk report indicating whether further clinical assessment may be required. It does not provide a diagnosis.
Aignosis said it has completed the regulatory process with India’s Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation and received Class B certification for its screening technology.
The startup was incubated at IIMA Ventures and was also selected for Google’s 2025 Google for Startups Accelerator: AI First programme.
Google said Aignosis was among 20 startups selected for the cohort from more than 1,600 applications. The startup was also selected for BFI VK Connect and participated in a three-week immersion programme in Europe.
Expanding through clinics and health centres
Aignosis primarily operates through what it calls a Clinic-in-Clinic model, under which its screening technology is deployed through paediatricians rather than being sold as a standalone device.
The approach is intended to allow paediatricians to incorporate developmental screening into their practices and identify children who may require further assessment or referral.
It is currently deployed across more than 20 government primary healthcare centres in Rajasthan.
Aignosis said it has also partnered with Mankind Pharma, whose medical representatives are supporting screening camps with paediatricians across India. It is beginning operations with Apollo SHINE Foundation across about 125 schools.
“Most healthcare innovation in India is built for the top of the pyramid and never leaves it. Aignosis is going the other way, starting in government health centres and small clinics, not private hospitals in metros. That’s distribution thinking that actually moves the needle at scale,” said Nikhil Kamath, an investor in the startup.
Targeting 100,000 screenings
According to the startup, it has completed more than 8,000 screenings so far and aims to take the total to at least 100,000 by the end of FY2026-27.
As part of its expansion, the startup is preparing to enter Punjab, the National Capital Region, Haryana, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, Karnataka and Maharashtra.
It plans to use its experience in Rajasthan as a reference for wider government adoption while expanding screening and referral access across public and private healthcare networks.
The expansion comes as the startup looks to increase access to early developmental screening through paediatric clinics, government health centres and schools in different parts of India.
