New Update
Adobe has introduced a new plugin for ChatGPT that brings tools from its creative and productivity applications into the AI chatbot, allowing users to create and edit images, videos, designs and documents within conversations.
The Adobe plugin is available globally on the ChatGPT web and app. It works across ChatGPT Work and Codex and brings together more than 70 tools from Adobe’s creative and productivity applications.
Users can activate the plugin, describe what they want to create, and use the tools through the chat interface. The plugin brings together capabilities from Adobe Express, Photoshop, Firefly, Premiere, Acrobat, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign and Adobe Stock, among others.
Commenting on the development, Vibhor Chhabra, Product Lead, ChatGPT Ecosystem, OpenAI, said, “We’re building ChatGPT to connect our users with the best capabilities for the task at hand. Adobe’s category-leading creative and productivity tools help people express their creativity, communicate and be more productive, and we’re excited to expand our partnership with Adobe to bring those capabilities into ChatGPT with the Adobe plugin in ChatGPT.”
What can users do with the plugin?
The plugin can be used to edit campaign images, create videos for social platforms, design marketing assets and turn data into formatted documents.
Users can upload campaign photos and describe the desired look, with the plugin applying a consistent style across the images. Finished assets can be saved to Creative Cloud, while selected images can also be turned into product or packaging mockups.
For video, users can turn long-form footage into highlight reels and adapt them for platforms such as YouTube Shorts and Instagram Reels.
Users can upload spreadsheets or datasets and describe the output they need. The plugin can then turn the information into formatted PDFs such as event badges, catalogs and infographics.
Access and Adobe account integration
Users can access a range of Adobe tools as guests. Signing in with an Adobe account provides access to generative capabilities, Creative Cloud files, and the ability to save work across sessions.
For projects that require more detailed editing, users can continue working in Adobe applications. For example, a user can batch edit product photos in ChatGPT before opening an image in Photoshop for further editing using layers and masks.
The plugin builds on its earlier integrations with AI chatbot platforms including ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot. The company said integrations with Slack and Gemini are also planned.
