Actor and singer Yoon Seo-bin has released an homage pictorial to mark the 71st anniversary of James Dean’s death.
In commemoration of the September 30, 1955, when James Dean passed away, Yoon Seo-bin presented a pictorial on his official SNS and fan community on the 30th. The pictorial shows Yoon Seo-bin recreating the style that symbolizes James Dean against the backdrop of a space with a 1950s atmosphere.
Yoon Seo-bin in the pictorial created a different atmosphere by using leather jackets and red jackets. In the black leather jacket-wearing cut, James Dean’s image was expressed as he looked at the camera with his arms crossed against the rough textured wall.
It also showed a red jacket style reminiscent of James Dean in the movie Unprovoked Rebellion. Yoon Seo-bin reinterpreted James Dean in his work by matching a red jacket with a white T-shirt and denim pants, staring at the camera with his collar standing up.
Yoon is currently taking the stage as James Dean in the musical James Byron Dean: The Original. The work is a two-person play that reconstructs the last five minutes of James Dean’s death after a car accident in 1955. Yoon Seo-bin plays James Dean, who has loneliness, anxiety, and a desire for life behind success in the play.
Yoon Seo-bin, who encountered James Dean’s life and art world in the process of preparing and performing his work, expressed his memory and respect for him in this pictorial.
Meanwhile, the musical James Byron Dean: The Original, starring Yoon Seo-bin, will be performed at the Link Art Center Dream Hall 4 in Daehak-ro, Seoul, until October 18.
