The Taco Bell and Maverick gas station and convenience store at Grand Market Avenue in Berthoud closed on Friday, Aug. 14.
For several weeks, the nearby McDonald’s has also been closed. The two additional closures mean the entire eastern section of the Grand Market Avenue business area is now closed.
Legal signs posted on the doors of Taco Bell and Maverick ordered the immediate evacuation of both locations “due to significant life-threatening violations of the International Property Management Code, 2024 edition.”
Further, in the legal notices, they list “hazardous structure,” “unsafe conditions,” “forces to unlatch and open doors,” and “maintaining fire hazard & conditions unsafe to occupants” as reasons for the closure.
