Approximately 20 people turned out at the Flemish American Club on Friday to lunch and learn about marketing strategies. The event was catered by Mark Eilers, and featured Zack Sullivan, CEO of Zactus Creative.
Sullivan kicked off the presentation by presenting his own entrepreneurial journey. As the founder Zactus Creative, Sullivan is recognized in the area for helping businesses.
“I love helping small businesses, events and communities grow,” said Sullivan. “Marketing is a game of influence.”
Sullivan presented the group with a look into brand building, social media platform tools, marketing and creating a consistent message.
On consistent messaging, Sullivan talked about his own Christmas decorations on his house and how he and his family decorate the house each year as a gingerbread house. He showed the Lunch and Learn crowd clips from the news and his own personal photos of his decorations to show the power of being consistent.
“Videos of a place you know and a face you recognize will make the viewer stop and look every time,” said Sullivan. “Consistency turns attention into long-term loyalty.”
To wrap up the program, Sullivan gave away office supplies from Sterling Business Material (SBM). But in order to win the prize, attendees had to answer one question: what was Sullivan’s house decorated as during Christmastime?
The winner was asked how he remembered the answer, and he said repetition and providing a story and a visual proved the power of a consistent message.
