On September 11, 2026, the Xiamen Torch Startup Camp 2026 & University Sci-Tech Achievement Transformation Startup Camp – Xiamen Division Roadshow Selection was successfully held at Torch Hi-Tech Plaza.
As the core closing session of the national recruitment for the 7th Startup Camp, this event is based on the advantages of Xiamen as a sci-tech innovation hub across the Taiwan Strait, focusing on breaking down the barriers of sci-tech innovation resources in Beijing, Shanghai and Xiamen, promoting the implementation and transformation of hard sci-tech achievements of cross-regional universities, and building an integrated docking platform of industry, university, research, government, investment and financing with full-domain linkage and in-depth interconnection.
It is worth celebrating that this year, the Xiamen Torch Startup Camp has been officially included in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology’s “Torch Sci-Tech Achievement Through Train” brand activity system; at the same time, Xiamen Hi-Tech Investment has also been successfully selected as one of the 25 national undertaking units of the 2026 Torch Sci-Tech Achievement Through Train activity, and is the only selected unit in Fujian Province. The upgraded 2026 Startup Camp focuses on early and mid-stage hard sci-tech and university achievement transformation, and the Xiamen closing session will select 50 to 60 high-quality projects to join the camp. The previous establishment of sub-station divisions in Beijing and Shanghai is precisely to build a two-way flow mechanism for cross-regional sci-tech innovation elements, and introduce high-quality sci-tech achievements from universities and research institutes in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Yangtze River Delta to Xiamen. This Xiamen Division sets up two characteristic tracks: the biomedicine special session and the comprehensive industry special session, bringing together 38 high-quality sci-tech innovation startup teams to compete on stage. Following the professional roadshow mode, it adopts the standard process of “10-minute project presentation + 5-minute judge interactive Q&A”. The participating projects focus on the cutting-edge hard sci-tech fields, covering directions such as robotic tactile ultra-perceptive electronic skin, Tianxiu Intelligence – intelligent olfactory technology, peripheral nerve anesthesia monitor with SPE86 wave, and innovative gene technology development platform, which generally show strong technical advancement and market transformation potential.
In the roadshow presentation session, the core heads of each team systematically elaborated on key dimensions such as technological R&D breakthroughs, core product barriers, market application scenarios, industry development prospects and the overall strength of the team, fully demonstrating the hard power and breakthrough responsibility of hard sci-tech entrepreneurs who are deeply engaged in technology and implement industries.

The review panel composed of front-line investment institution representatives and senior industry experts, combined with the track and development stage of each project, conducted in-depth questions and professional comments on core dimensions such as technology iteration direction, industry competition pattern, commercial implementation difficulties, market expansion layout, long-term development planning and financing structure. Each startup team answered one by one with solid R&D accumulation, pilot data, cooperation cases and clear technical development blueprint, fully demonstrating solid technical skills, clear business logic and professional entrepreneurial literacy.
The person in charge of the “Intelligent Assistive Devices · Global Smart Manufacturing” project, Chen Xiaoping, introduced that during her years of starting a business in Xiamen, she has often interacted with all parties of the Xiamen Torch Startup Camp, and deeply felt their rich experience in industry incubation and accompanying support. This year, the team has won new bids for business in 26 provinces, and also obtained an opportunity to expand to the US market, and the limited self-owned capital has become a bottleneck for development. Professor Cai Yuanqi from Wuhan University, the core technical inventor of the “Active Resonance C-type Buoyancy Oscillator Wave Energy Device (CWEC) Commercialization Project”, said that he has been doing research in the field of wave energy for more than 20 years, and is very much looking forward to “showing his skills” in a coastal city like Xiamen, giving priority to deep cultivation of the marine ranch track, and expanding to scenarios such as offshore communication base stations and island power supply at the same time.
