Texas (KCBD) – Two Lamesa ISD employees have been arrested in connection with an investigation involving allegations of a breach of computer security
Lamesa ISD said in a statement Friday morning “the allegations do not involve the disclosure of district data, including student, personnel, or security information.”
The district said the investigation involves the alleged deletion of a set of records typically maintained by law enforcement.
Investigators have determined no Lamesa ISD students or staff are in any danger regarding the situation.
Lamesa ISD will not comment further on the specific allegations or details as this is an active investigation.

“On September 10, 2026, two Lamesa ISD employees were arrested in connection with a law enforcement investigation involving allegations of a breach of computer security.
The allegations do not involve the disclosure of compromise of district data, including student, personnel, or security information. Rather, the matter involves the alleged deletion of a set of records typically maintained by law enforcement.
There is no indication that the matter involved the safety of students or staff or any financial impropriety. At no time were Lamesa ISD students or staff in danger as a result of this situation.
Because this is an active law enforcement matter, Lamesa ISD will not comment on the specific allegations or details of the investigation. Questions regarding the criminal investigation should be directed to Lamesa Police Department.”
