The “SaaSpocalypse” is officially over. What began in early 2026 as a brutal sell-off, driven by existential fears that artificial intelligence (AI) coding tools would render traditional software obsolete, has now given way to a sharp recovery. 

The “SaaS-pocalypse” was supposed to kill software. But I guess Salesforce (CRM) didn’t get the memo.

A SaaSpocalypse scenario suggesting AI could weaken or even erase the presence of existing software is still circulating in the tech sector, but security appears to be relatively outside the debate.
