Sarah Friar, the CFO of OpenAI was once the CEO of a company when it went public: Nextdoor. So maybe that gives her credibility these days as she reportedly acts like an IPO for OpenAI is no biggie. 

OpenAI Group PBC today announced it’s rolling out a stricter version of its ChatGPT chatbot created for younger users.

OpenAI will begin serving ads to people using ChatGPT across 31 European markets on Monday (August 24), including Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Ireland, andthe Netherlands.

OpenAI has launched Computer History, a ChatGPT feature that records clicks, keystrokes, keyboard shortcuts and app switches on macOS to build a searchable memory. The memory files are stored locally as unencrypted plain text, and the feature is not available in the EEA, Switzerland or the UK.

OpenAI plans to release an AI smart speaker in 2027, according to a Bloomberg report on Thursday. It’ll reportedly be palm-size and doughnut-shaped and have a wireless design that will let people carry it around.
