Chipotle Mexican Grill has opened its first restaurant in Asia, launching in Seoul, South Korea, on September 2, 2026. The brand, which operates more than 3,700 restaurants worldwide under a corporate model entered South Korea through a joint venture with Sangmidang Holdings. Seoul is the starting point for a planned broader expansion across Asia.

This is the first national advertising push from Chief Brand Officer Fernando Machado and Chipotle’s first major work with a new agency partner.

The 16-year-old YouTube star’s preferred order is becoming a limited-time Kid’s Meal and will be promoted through social content.
