In late September 2026, members of Teamsters Local 877 at Phillips 66’s Bayway Refinery, the largest oil refinery on the US East Coast, voted by a very large 92% margin to authorize a strike after contentious negotiations over wages, benefits, paid time off and safety-related training standards, ahead of their contract’s 1 October expiry.
