Uber is laying off about 3,300 people, or about 10% of its global headcount, in a bid to cut management layers and invest more in its ridesharing, delivery, and robotaxi divisions. The company announced the changes in an internal email sent by CEO Dara Khosrowshahi and published online Wednesday.

Ride-hailing giant Uber is eliminating 3,300 corporate jobs, representing about 10% of its global workforce, as part of its largest organizational restructuring since the early days of the pandemic, Bloomberg is reporting.

Roughly 20pc of Uber’s management layer is being cut, alongside nearly half of its micro teams.
