The lecture was prepared to help improve hiring difficulties and productivity issues faced by partners and to boost order-winning competitiveness by using AI. The event drew about 60 attendees from 42 partner companies, including Yang Hong-seok, executive director of the co-prosperity cooperation office at KAI, and An Seung-gwon, president of Yeungnam University of Science and Technology.
President An explained the impact of advances in AI technology on corporate management and competitiveness under the theme “In the AI era, how should corporations evolve?” Kim Beom-jun, head of the AI·DX Center at Yeungnam University of Science and Technology, then introduced AI adoption cases on manufacturing floors and concrete application methods.
Starting with this lecture, KAI will expand AI training for partner company executives and employees. From Nov., it will offer AI utilization training for working-level staff, and from 2027 it plans to run AI practical training tailored to aircraft parts manufacturing sites as a regular course. Through this, it aims to raise partners’ work efficiency and productivity and support improvements in profitability.
Executive Director Yang said, “Many partners recognize the need to adopt AI, but they face difficulties applying it on the shop floor,” and added, “We will enhance partners’ competitiveness and create a sustainable co-prosperity ecosystem through continuous training and practical support for building AI manufacturing infrastructure.”
Since announcing a co-prosperity cooperation policy in 2020, KAI has pursued support totaling 128 billion won to stabilize partners’ management, expand employment, and strengthen competitiveness. In Apr., under the auspices of the National Defense Committee and the Defense Acquisition Program Administration, it signed a co-prosperity cooperation agreement between defense system integrators and partner firms.
