The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIMA) has opened admissions for the second batch of its two-year Blended MBA Programme in Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence (BPGP: BA & AI), designed for working professionals and entrepreneurs seeking to strengthen their expertise in data-driven management and emerging technologies.
The programme aims to equip participants with the analytical and managerial skills needed to apply artificial intelligence and data insights to business strategy, operations and organisational decision-making.
The announcement was made at the IIMA campus in the presence of Director Prof. Bharat Bhasker, Dean (Programmes) Prof. Diptesh Ghosh, programme chairperson Prof. Anindya S. Chakrabarti and Prof. Ankur Sinha, Chairperson of the Krishnamurthy Tandon School of AI. Chandrika Tandon, business leader, philanthropist, Grammy Award-winning musician and IIMA alumna, joined the event virtually. She established the Krishnamurthy Tandon School of AI through an endowment.
Prof. Bhasker emphasised the importance of critical thinking alongside technical expertise, noting that managers must understand the assumptions and limitations behind analytical tools before using their outputs to make decisions. Tandon highlighted the need to develop AI solutions that create meaningful value for businesses and society.
The curriculum combines mathematical modelling, programming, machine learning and advanced AI with management disciplines such as finance and strategy. Spread across six terms, the programme includes live online classes, three on-campus modules, case discussions, simulations, capstone assignments and practical projects. Electives cover areas including generative AI, agentic AI, predictive analytics, product management, risk management, AI ethics and supply chain digitisation.
Participants will receive remote access to IIMA’s academic and research resources. An exit option after the first year allows eligible participants to earn a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Analytics and AI, while those completing the full programme receive the MBA degree and join the institute’s alumni network.
Applicants must hold a recognised bachelor’s degree or an equivalent professional qualification, with at least 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. Relevant full-time work experience is also required, along with a valid CAT, GMAT or GRE score from the specified five-year period, or performance in IIMA’s admission test for the programme.
