Atlanta, GA–Solomon Brothers Jewelers has been selected as the featured company for the 2027 University of Georgia Digital Marketing Competition, providing students with the opportunity to work on a real-world business challenge while collaborating with a prestigious family-owned brand based in Georgia.
Hosted annually by the University of Georgia, the competition gives students the opportunity to apply classroom learning to business situations, developing strategic recommendations for participating organizations. Over the years, the program has partnered with some of Georgia’s most respected companies and institutions, and Solomon Brothers is proud to join that tradition.
As part of the competition, students will be challenged to develop recommendations tied to the future growth and evolution of Solomon Brothers’ proprietary collections and brand portfolio. Finalist teams will present their recommendations directly to company leadership and a panel of marketing and business professionals.
As a Georgia-founded company and partner of the Georgia Bulldogs, Jaron Solomon, president of Solomon Brothers says he views the competition as an opportunity to invest in the next generation of business leaders while gaining fresh perspectives from some of the country’s brightest young marketers. The company also believes its entrepreneurial culture creates a unique opportunity for participating students to see their ideas considered and potentially implemented in the real world.
“As a proud University of Georgia alumnus, this partnership is especially meaningful to me. The University of Georgia has a long history of developing exceptional business and marketing talent, and we’re honored that Solomon Brothers has been selected as this year’s featured company,” Jaron Solomon said. “What excites me most, however, is the opportunity to make this experience our own. We’re a family-owned business, and that allows us to move quickly. Great ideas don’t have to navigate layers of committees and approvals. If students develop recommendations that can strengthen our business, we have the ability and the intention to seriously evaluate those ideas and explore putting them into action.
“This isn’t a theoretical exercise for us. We want students to know their work matters. We hope they’ll learn from our team and our business, but we’re just as excited to learn from them. year’s competitors create.”
