A group of general counsels and Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati have joined forces to launch a new venture capital fund dedicated to investing in legal technology startups.
Reuters reported Tuesday that the new fund, named GCVC, already has more than 50 general counsels invested in it. According to Reuters, the fund did not respond to a request for comment about how much it was worth.
Reuters reports that GCVC said it has invested in Sandstone—an artificial intelligence-native relationship management software geared toward corporate legal departments—and Stilta—an agentic AI platform for patent work.
The fund is the latest example of the sheer volume of money pouring into the legal tech market.
In March, Legora, a collaborative AI platform for lawyers, announced $550 million in Series D funding, while legal AI company Harvey raised $200 million that same month Clio, which is also an advertiser with the ABA Journal, closed $500 million in Series G funding in November 2025
Reuters noted that another venture capital fund focused on legal tech investments, the LegalTech Fund, closed a $110 million round of funding in November 2025. The fund includes McDermott Will & Schulte as an investor.
