The Asia Beauty Art Expert Association (ABEA, CEO Seo Young-shin) announced on the 28th that it has signed a three-way memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Incheon Vocational School (Chairman Yoo-sun) and the Korea Hair Design Association (KHDA, Chairman Choi Ki-soo). The plan is to establish a cooperative system that connects K-beauty professionals to employment and start-ups.
Seo Young-shin, CEO of ABEA, said, “This agreement is meaningful in that it connects student education at Incheon Vocational School, KHDA’s skill skills, and ABEA’s global network. We will cooperate to expand exchanges of experts and professional education at home and abroad so that students can work in a wider industrial field.”
The plan is to establish a talent development system that not only acquires certificates, but also leads to field training, expert mentoring, participation in competitions, employment, and support for preliminary start-ups.
ABEA was established in 2015 and has been promoting the cultivation of professional human resources in the beauty industry and technology and human exchanges between countries. It has expanded its network of exchanges with overseas beauty experts such as Japan, India, and the United States.
The agreement will be promoted in a structure in which three institutions are in charge of specialized fields. ABEA is in charge of international exchange and professional education in the field of beauty art using overseas networks, while Incheon Vocational College is in charge of vocational education, qualification acquisition, and career support. KHDA will support technical education, international competitions, and expert mentoring.
