Ky. (WAVE) – NuLu Fest, one of Louisville’s most anticipated neighborhood block parties, is returning for its 16th year on Saturday, Sept. 19
The free, family-friendly street festival will run from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., taking over the 600 to 900 blocks of East Market Street. The celebration will highlight local art, live music, regional craft beers, food, and neighborhood businesses.
“NuLu Fest is a celebration of the neighborhood, art, and the people who have helped make NuLu what it is today,” said Katie Meinhart, President of the NuLu Business Association. “It’s a great opportunity to spend the day exploring Market Street, supporting our businesses and enjoying everything NuLu has to offer.”
This year’s live music is presented by The Monarch Music & Arts Community, featuring a diverse lineup of regional and national talent:
- Paul McDonald & The Mourning Doves: The Alabama native and roots-rocker, who garnered buzz at the 2026 30A Songwriters Festival, is touring behind his gospel-and-Americana-infused album, So Long to the Dark Side.
- MODISTE: A Louisville-based synth-pop trio utilizing vintage 1980s and ’90s instruments, fresh off the release of their debut album, Nothing More Than A Machine.
- Local Showcases: Performances by the School of Rock, a Monarch Jazz Jam led by Jon Anthony Floyd-Jackson, and a Monarch Bluegrass Jam Session led by Paul Colon alongside local bluegrass pickers.
In addition to live performances, festival-goers can browse handcrafted goods from local and regional vendors. The event will offer regional craft beer, bourbon, wine, and specialty cocktails, alongside food from the neighborhood’s celebrated culinary scene.
Numerous NuLu specialty boutiques, galleries, and restaurants will also offer special sales and promotions throughout the day.
