Tungsten Automation has appointed Gopi Kalahasthy as Chief Revenue Officer, expanding the executive leadership team as the company scales its global sales organization and accelerates growth for its AI-powered document and workflow automation platform.
In his new role, Kalahasthy will oversee the company’s worldwide sales organization, lead global go-to-market strategy and drive strategic growth initiatives while strengthening relationships across Tungsten Automation’s enterprise customer base.
The appointment comes as organizations continue investing in automation technologies that streamline document-intensive workflows and prepare enterprise data for AI applications. Tungsten Automation said Kalahasthy will play a central role in expanding its market reach and supporting customer adoption of its automation platform.
Kalahasthy brings more than 20 years of enterprise technology sales and leadership experience. Before assuming the CRO role, he served as Senior Vice President, Americas at Tungsten Automation, where he led software sales and go-to-market execution across the region. His responsibilities included new customer acquisition, account expansion, customer retention and operational performance while coordinating efforts across sales engineering, marketing, product, partner organizations and customer success teams.
Prior to joining Tungsten Automation, Kalahasthy spent nearly two decades at SAP, where he held a series of senior leadership positions. Most recently, he served as Vice President for Life Sciences and Consumer Industries, managing one of the company’s largest industry portfolios and overseeing sales growth across those sectors. Earlier in his career, he held positions at Citrix Systems, Ernst & Young and TI Automotive.
The company said Kalahasthy’s experience building enterprise sales organizations and managing large customer portfolios will support its efforts to expand globally while deepening relationships with existing customers and partners.
As Chief Revenue Officer, he will lead initiatives to strengthen Tungsten Automation’s commercial strategy, increase customer engagement and expand adoption of the company’s AI-powered document processing and workflow automation solutions. The role also includes responsibility for scaling the company’s go-to-market operations as organizations seek practical applications for generative AI within business processes.
“I’m excited to step into this role and help lead the next stage of growth for Tungsten Automation, a leading innovator in AI-powered document and workflow automation,” Kalahasthy said. “Our AI-enhanced software portfolio gives customers and partners a fast, practical path to automate complex manual processes—driving real business outcomes such as productivity gains, cost savings, and new revenue. I look forward to building on the strong foundation already in place and scaling our go-to-market engine across every region and customer we serve.”
Kalahasthy earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Missouri–Kansas City and a Bachelor of Engineering from BITS Pilani.
